I have a pic of my 5680 in a freezer :P
Is that considered bad for it?! LOL

It was right after I got Halo for the PC.... played 5 hour straight killing the PCTorque guys (Computer Room) and being killed by them :P

The computer was actually beeping like crazy, I freaked out, turned everything off, it was soo host on the underside you could "see" the heat coming off of it.... so I put it in the freezer.... (pic found!)

Cap'n you've gotta be single with a freezer like that. Mine hasn't been that empty since I got married - now its full of "healthy stuff" - I have to keep the junk food at work. Not sure my wife would understand me emptying out the freezer to chill my lappy. Maybe somebody should prechill their laptop before oc'ing (not a reccomendation just a thought).

i wonder if the temps of your lappy in the freezer are lower then mine on top of the AC... 19C is pretty hard to beat though!!!

Umm the max temp for your 8790 is only 30 degrees? My 4780 idles at 54 degrees and the HD idles at around 50. Whats going on here? It is because I have the desktop processor?

when i have the AC on the laptop the max temp is about 20.. otherwise the max temp is 50.. when it hits 50 the fans come on and it drops to 38. the HDD usually stays at 43 until i run something. but if i had to say one thing that supprised my about this system, it would be how it stays cool... everyone else thought it got hot.. but ive NEVER had this thing get over 50... even when OCing heavy, and playing doom3, COD for hours... great heatsink and chasis
