Could someone loot at this website

http://www.ocztechnology.com/product...200_DDR_SODIMM

And tell me if it's just one 512K SODIMM being advertised, or two adding up to 512K? I would assume it's one, except for the fact that Dual Channel is not mentioned anywhere, and it ususally is...

The 256 and 512 are each one individual sodimm.

OCZ is one of the top 3 as far as ram goes.

Stay away from GEIL, they've been doing some crazy stuff to their ram that causes compatability errors and boot issues in select systems.

Geil isnt horrible, but like SEMC said they have a some massive compatibility problems in some systems, especially running dual channel mode. I would rate them near the bottom of the "performance" ram category. Slightly below Kingston.

Geil does have good prices though. Mushkin and OCZ are both borderline retarded in thier pricing.

hey, quality costs a bit extra, y'know? actually mushkin's prices aren't that bad if you aren;t looking at their top-of-the-line stuff (OCZ only has the top of the line ), for example i saw a 512mb 184pin DDR400 DIMM on newegg from mushkin for ~$75, AFAIk it was the cheapest on the site at that particular time. Corsair's XMS has been getting more reasonable as of late, though...
