OH HELL....WTF Sager!...BACKORDER!

this really sux. as soon as the time comes that I am going to need to buy soon, the 4750 goes on backorder. WTF! 1-2 weeks from order date! That is like the same as Dell. This is starting to suck major donkey balls. First....the waiting for the 3700 (which doesn't look like it's coming out ever because Sager insists on being either the last to come out with it, or not come out with it at all!) then the announcement of no MR9800, and now backorder before back to school. What in the hell is Sager thinking.

This must be some sort of sign for me not to get one. I tried to call their tech support up just to get an idea of it, and they have some call back BS. WTF is that! I think I might rather deal with a company like Dell/HP's tech support than have to wait for a call back. Sager is really pissing me off and if it weren't for their low price, I would not give them a look, but then again I guess they entitle themselves to this kinda crap for the price that they offer it at. Other places like Hypersonic are more expensive, but their tech/customer service seems to kick ass.

Or, it could be a sign for you not to order right before school, when there's tons of other people ordering at the same time, thus causing shortages of parts, which affects much more than one reseller/manufacturer.

You could see if you get anymore luck with with xtremenotebooks, powernotebooks, discount laptops, and pro-star.

Oh gods lay off Sager already.. Atleast when a Sager tech calls you back they actually know the machine..HP will make you follow some dumb script in front of them and half of them don't know computers from a hole in the head..

As to Sagers back order..well there is a big storm..act of god..shipments are on hold from Clevo and this is beyond their control..stuff happens..deal with it..

As to your 3700.. Sager is right to wait and have it properly tested because the moment you run the sucker and it melts your computers insides..guess what..we'll have another one of your posts on the subject..and to spare us that..I hope they do test it..

Hmmm..if you buy that..that means you'll be moving over to notebook general doesn't it? I think this is a good choice..Mtech is a good machine..

There's been quite a few posts in the Dell section from owners. This thread is where Dell-Machina did some overclocking and benchmarks, about the 4th post into the thread.

actually, i don't know about mtech anymore, i think im gonna go with GamePC. I plan on buying from the tommorrow morning if they can either drop the price a bit or drop the tax charge. they have the option for pickup because they are based in CA.

If I buy from GamePC, here is what my specs would be:

AMD 3700+
2x512 DDR400 PC3200
Dual Layer 8x DVD+-RW
128mb MR9700
Bluetooth + Turbo wireless G
10/100/1000
17inc WSXGA
etc.

This is by far the best Clevo model available!

Duh! you meant processor. Honestly though, the difference between the 3700 and 3400 is going to be like 3-5% max.
