The Alienware AlienGUIse™ Desktop GUI Kit

Please Read: The skins in this Skin Suite are part of a single installer. The installer itself is 40 MB. This originally was designed for pre-installation on all Alienware PCs but they were gracious enough to offer to all users for free. Please keep that in mind. We realize it will take some time for those users who are on dial-up. Please be patient. Thanks.

You need only download the installer once to receive all the skins and icons for both AlienMorph™ and ALXMorph™

This suite includes 2 WindowBlinds themes, 2 Windows Media Player skins, 2 wallpapers and a 75+ icon packager suite.

Note: The WindowBlinds skin shown is the UIS 2 version of the skin. By default the slimmer UIS 1 version is installed. To switch over to the more “glamorous” UIS 2 version simply right-click on your desktop and click Properties. Then click the Appearance tab on top. You will see in Sub-Design a drop down button. This is where you can access and apply the UIS 2 version. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did creating them.

Download the AlienMorph™ AlienGUIse™ Skin Suite

Special thanks to Russ of Angry-Fly for providing a fast download mirror. This is an Official Alienware Sanctioned Mirror.

Thanks...you folks do great work. Any plans for an AW Notebook themed skin?

Well this is for the notebooks not just the desktops. It's sort an "all-in-one" universal theme.

Could you maybe then just make it in blue or green and maybe with laptops for the my computer my network places icons. That would make it perfect!

^^ that's kinda what I meant...notebook shaped icons instead of desktop shaped icons....

Honestly, we've spent a very long time on this project. We're not tweaking anything else BUT i do have a special Alienware Head icon you can use to substitute the My Computer icon.

Also i've included 2 WMP custom icons we did as well as an Alienware Homepage Icon.

As i'm looking i see we did an MSN Messenger skin which has 2 heads. If you're using 1 head for My Computer it would only make sense to use the 2 heads for networking icons. Just found a calculator icon too we made.

Here you go: http://www.theskinsfactory.com/tsf-t...cons.zip&num=1

Thanks!!! Those are sweet. Can you tell me how to apply the MSN icon...it doesn't seem to want to go...

If you have the AlienGUIse then you have icon packager installed i think. Not sure how that works since i have all of Stardocks software on my machine. But for regular icons you can simply right-click on the icon and then click change icon and browse for the new one. You may not be able to change some if you don't have the full Icon Packager application installed. I'm not really sure to be honest with you. Okay i have to get back to work.

Thanks and enjoy.

This is truly Excellent work!! I've made my own Icons from time to time... so I know by the quality and abundance of them you guys spent forever and a day making these! But... while you're here... whatever happened to that Alienware/metallica theme? I don't like the new metallica but the theme still looked awesome!

Wow, TheSkinsFactory is personally representing itself on these boards to let us know about their AlienGUIse. We really appreciate it!

For me, I dont think I'll run this cause I dont think I have enough memory in my system to combat the performance hit. But regardless it looks really nice!!

There is very little performance loss Rd...I have the same amount of ram and everything still runs without a hitch.

the only thing i really hate is the internet explorer icon

I couldn't find the option for the UIS 2, in the appearance tab all I have are "Windows and buttons", "Color scheme", and "Font size"...no "Sub-Design" option...or is this located in the stardock program...

Wow, There VERY impressive! Just wondering do AW owners get it for free? beacuse i know stardocks isnt free and the annoying popup can get annoying lol.

I think the IE icon looks gr8 but i have not yet installed it so i shuld not comment. Just cant wait for my AC adpater now!! you have done a gr8 job there. I agree its shame not to see a laptop but how can u complain about something that looks kewl.

On my laptop I took a BIG performance hit! Maybe it just doesnt like me . I needed to uninstall everything to put the OS back to its regular old speed. So i guess my system is running with a hitch
post #17 of 51
i don't get any pop ups so what are u talking about devion
post #18 of 51
It is actually free to everyone, you can DL it from the AW site...the stardock theme manager is included, but seems to be lacking a lot of the extra functions of stardock...all you can do with the included package is "apply" a theme, no editing or options.

Sounds like it's time for an OS refresh/reinstall maybe...or maybe kill off some extra processes and services...

I wonder if this will work with my regular version of stardock... I guess I can always just try to rip the themes out and put them on a full version...
