No distro has everything working on this laptop in 64-bit mode. If you want a 64-bit distro, you are going to have to give up accelerated 3d graphics and internal wireless. The drivers for both these are binary and 32-bit only. I have heard that some people have gotten the wireless to work in FreeBSD in 64-bit mode, but ATI doesn't support FreeBSD at all for drivers ATM, so the outlook for 64-bit drivers there in the future doesn't look so good.
I have installed 64-bit Gentoo, and it worked pretty good besides these problems. I eventually installed 32-bit gentoo so I could get everything to work on it. Hopefully, by the end of the year, 64-bit drivers will be released for the video card and internal wireless. Then, 64-bit mode would be perfect.
