8790 battery swap out

I bought the combination TV tuner and 8 cell battery and wanted to change out that 8 cell and put in the 12 cell that I also purchased. I followed the instructions in the manual but it seems that the tuner is hardwired to the computer and there seems to be no way to disconnect it so I can fit the 12 cell in. Does anyone know how to get that tuner out?

Thanks.

Unscrew the screws. Lift out the TV Tuner - You will need to disconnect the cord. Lift out the 8 Cell battery. "Hide" the cord for the TV Tuner (there is a recess in the sidewalls). Install the 12 Cell Battery. Screw in the new battery. It's that simple.

I understand that part of it but I can't figure out how to disconnect the cord from the TV tuner. Does it just pop out of the tuner itself or is there another place to disconnect it from?

The laptop has a chord and so does the Tuner. There should be a "white" piece where the two cords are "Plugged" together.

actually the tv tuner doesn't have a cord. the cord from the laptop plugs into a white connector on the pcb on the tv tuner. it takes a bit of wiggling, but it should come out.
