Does anyone know a link where I could download an updated driver for this card ?

It seems to have issues with the Zero Configuration Service of XP, my Wifi connections keeps dropping, when I restart the service i'm ok for a couple of minutes.

After a few hours testing I can assure you that this solved all my problems, so if you're getting disconnected from you wifi or having bad perfomance just disable the "Zero configuration service" and install the configuration tool that came with your lappy.

Me happy now

This ferrari is starting finally to run as a real Ferrari

Thanks again to all of you here for helping me getting this lappy and getting it up and running, big thanks also to Snorre for his links and advice

Broadcom Drivers are probably pretty interchangeable. Search these forums for references to who has them and which ones are available. ( I used the HP drivers, and somewhere posted the link)

Microsoft has included a new service called "Wireless Zero Configuration" in Windows XP SP2. This is supposed to help you connect to various wireless networks. In my opinion this service hurts more than it helps. I have an Acer 8006LMi which also had the exact same problems, and I've heard of other WiFi-cards that also have trouble with this service. Some cards simply don't work with this service enabled.

To turn off the service go to Start->Settings->Control Panel->Performance and Maintenance->Administrative Tools. Then double click Services and look up "Wireless Zero Configuration" in the list. Double click and make sure you set the "Start-up type" to "disabled".
