Edit: Just posting them as I get them now ... easier that way for everyone . Feel free to still send a pm if you need one and I will make sure to get one out to you before posting on here as I get them.

You know, I'd almost go for one (and was about to PM you), but I personally think that GMail isn't really all it's hyped up to be. (This'll be the third time I think I've turned down GMail offers)

Why not? It seams great and i received NO junk mail yet. The thing has the best interface i've seen so far.

Well I did PM ya. I hope I happen to get one. It just seems that everyone has one, and every time I ask a friend for an invite they gave it up to a g/f or something. Oh well heres to hoping for an invite one day

There is a ton of hype about it. After all, it is just an email account. Yhe main reason I originally got one was to store all of my digital pictures somewhere away from here. That way, God forbid something catastrophic happen here and all my hard drives and backup disks are eaten, I still have my memories intact.

I guess that's true... But I've got stacks of burned data CDs there, there, there... *points to like six or seven different spots in the room with stacks of CDs over fifty CDs high*, so you'd pretty much have to set my house on fire or something to cause me to lose my data. Not to mention my web hosting spaces, multiple hard drives, and partial mirrored data on other computers in my house and other locations.

Exactly the type of incident I am speaking of (house fire, etc). I have tons of CDs and DVDs myself archiving my stuff, but if the house and it's contents are destroyed, all the hard drives and discs I have stuff backed up to will do me no good. I have no web hosting space (except the whooping 10MB BS provides me), so that is basically what I am going to use my gmail accounts for.

I am kinda bad when it comes to backing up information. Of course, I guess like most computer users, all the backups are located in one location. However, whenever I build a computer for a friend or relative, I store some of the installations I used on their computer. I dont know if that counts for anything.

Im a college student. I dont have the cash to have RAID 6 in San Francisco, Chicago, New York and Miami.

Yeah I'm bad at backing up too. Luckily all my CDs contain information I'd needed to use on other computers (which among all of them should make up most everything I'd need backed up) and so I've got it all on CD, either here or I have some CDs stored at my friends' houses. All my web work I keep the templates and working files on my webservers as well as the websites, and don't ever delete from my webservers either. Anything else is expendible and I can rebuld again.
