Help: Converting video to pc using Dell M60

Im wanting to convert a video so that it I can view it on my Dell M6o laptop. Does anyone know how to do this (in laymans terms) or point me in the direction of a turorial.

My M60 has a NVIDIA® QuadroTM FX Go1000 graphics card ... will this be enough or will I need to get additional hardware? Or will I merely need a cable that goes from video to laptop?

Cheers,

It depends .. What kind of video source .. Just from a digital video camera will not be hard .. Most are firewire and plug right in ..

Now if your wanting to capture from TV, VCR, DVD you'll need some sort of video capture device .. There are quite a few around that plug into the USB and Firewire ports

Thanks again ....

Is a tv tuner that allows you to play tv ... the same or different from a video capture card. .... ie., would i need to get a video capture card, then a tv tuner or can you get one that combines the too.
