Arghhhh... Dead Pixels on my Aopen 1557GLS

Darn, I got my Aopen 1557GLS from myaopen. My total config costed me $1100. At first sight, no dead pixels. But after a few minutes, i saw one dead pixel. After that, I saw two more pixels that happen to stay red, and are definately noticeable when over a black/blue background. I want perfection since I paid $300 more for this after returning my refurbed Aopen 1557GL, but I am starting college now and have no time to do that.

ya i have 1 stuck green pixel on my uniwell and it kinda sux if you spend that much money on a laptop you expect it to be perfect though but its hard to send it back and wait since you've already waited so long

Sorry to hear that, NarutoKun. My 1557GLS from MyAOpen had no dead pixels, maybe it's because it didn't go through MyAOpen and rather it came directly to me from AOpen in Cali. My friend actually bought the same laptop as me but he's not computer savvy and doesn't really know about dead pixels, anyways I found one on his too, a red one, noticeable on white backgrounds only. I haven't told him so I don't ruin it for him,

How do you know it came directly from Aopen? Did you order it barebones?

Yes I did and MyAOpen.com emailed me saying it was shipped directly from AOpen. When the box came in, said it came from Cali. So I'm guessing the AOpen warehouse is in Cali since MyAOpen is in Georgia.

FYI: You can actually massage dead pixels back to life: just turn off your notebook and rub the screen by pressing a finger gently through a rag around the dead pixel for about 30 seconds. No guaranty, but sometimes this works
