is alienware's tech support outsorced to india like dell's?

No...they have a center in Costa Rica that is not outsourced...they're full blown Alienware employees.

They also have a more advanced team in Miami for more in depth issues.

thanks craig. i feel it is important to be able to be able to understand what the technician is telling you when there is a problem.

Daegras, I don't think the comments are meant really as a slam to Indian people as much as a reflection of frustration having to do with communication.

Well if its any consolation Dae, I am an analyst and do tech support to alot of indian people at gas stations over the phone, its not easy, its a communication gap that is for certain, very hard to understand anything they say sometimes, very frustrating and funny also...

degras, Its not slaming indains its slaming the company that does it. I infact think indains r gr8 taking the jobs to get cash and live. But the company shuldnt go to a country that even those most fluent speaking english indian cannot really understand. I have actually seen what the workers get and its fcking amazing.

Free Food
+ Cash :P

And they have to be highly educated but ALOT of the times i cannot understand them. Partially beacuse i have a communcation problem but i shuldnt be phoning a ENGLISH company (eg in england) and get someone who isnt in england.

I have noticed AW take this problem very well. They have Reps in Spain/France/GErmany for europe and the main place in ireland when u phone them u get irish people. This is the way companies should work.

The worst r indain doctors. lol Medician is already complicated and your accent doesnt make it easyier.
