Windows XP Pro Purchase Question

I'm getting a 5670 in a week or so. I'm debating on ordering the OS through Sager or getting it from somewhere else. Does anyone know where to get a legitimate copy for cheap?

You could buy it from practically any store that sells software. Best Buy, Electronics Boutique, Circuit City, etc.

It's cheaper with Sager -- the 140 bucks or whatever for Professional. The stupid thing retails for 300 if you don't buy the upgrade version (which itself is 200).

Good luck finding it cheaper than 140.

That's what I figured, and it doesn't hurt to ask. Thanks for the feedback.

$5 would be great. There is just one problem...I don't belong to your university.

its the microsoft campus agreement that they are doing just about everywhere. ask around to see if a student friend of yours doesn't need their copy.

do you know if georgia tech does that?
i dunno about georgia tech. one of my friends was a mac user so he had no use with xp pro, so i bought his copy. (every student can only purchase one copy of each software offered)

If you are a full-time student there are some sites on the internet you can order from. Do'nt know them off the top of my head, but try googling it.
