Anyone know how to swap the faceplate, I remember seeing this somewhere but didn't bookmark the thread!

bought a very fast Pioneer with 2 DL speeds of 4 and 2.4

I don't need it now that I bought a Extremely fast Pioneer burner that burns DL at 4 X and 2.4 X, regular 4.7 up to 16 x, CD 32X, RW @ 24XCD IEEE/USB 2.0 -Win and a read speed of 40 Xow I can use some othe stuff I bought accross the pond at www.icos-tech.com. Namely the MacroMaster 2 and The Stripemaster which takes a component input and has a S-Video output. Pioneer External DVR-S806 bought for $199 and it has a $30 off cupon.www.jr.com, I also bought myself a new Canon 390 printer, scanner, and 33.9kps FAXsimile all built in and on sale for $139.00. Happy Birthday to me.


Off Topic: The hell with exploding Dell drives and no phone calls if the support doesn't change it's another brand when this kicks.

OK, this is a long shot but does anyone know if there is any store in LA that I can buy the ND-6500A drive.

I need to get one Monday (8th Feb) as I fly back to the UK later that day.

Even if you do find a compatible drive in stores, it wont have the matching dell faceplate. better off buying a fully compatible drive from dell. i am considering doing it. my dad has the 6500a and it burns everything well!

hmm, thanks for that, it was of no use though. If i could drive to the 'Dell' store then I would but I can't can I!

I already have the Dell faceplate so not quite sure why I would need another one??

Im sorry, I was just saying that a drive you buy from places like newegg or whatever (i believe some fit) won't come with the drive caddy or the faceplate.
