System Specs:
AMD 64 2800+
1 Gig DDR400
Geforce 6800GT
WD Raptor SATA 10K 74.gig HDD

I got:

Good or bad? it's my first time ever running 3Dmark03 on any system... I've never cared to run it before, but too many people have asked me, so.... There it is.. everything on default... Is that good for my set up? Would Better Ram and Faster Processor Increase that Score?

That's what I was wondering.... because I want to upgrade to a new proc / MB / Memory... (something with 64bit and Dual Channel!)

get a fx-53, woot!

Forget the FX-53 it'S waaaay over priced. Go for the AMD 64 3500 or 3800 if you can afford it.

nice score, my 3dmark03 score is in my sig...i went w/ the 3800 only b/c i couldn't find a 3500 at the time and didn't want to spend even more on the FX...but that is a nice score for your current setup

There seems to be only one 3dmark03 project with 6800GT and AMD64 and he got 13000+marks.

So perhaps a lil low? dunno really

Also for you, yang, the other users with the 68 ultra get 15000

On the other hand, for me as long as everything runs fine (as in games) who cares about benchmarks that perhaps do _not_ really tell you anything about actual gaming performance.

They are primarily used to give you an idea if your computer is running ok. If you score something low, it may let you know something is not working quite right and allow you to fix it.

well, mine is at completely stock settings, there are a few of my AW friends who have the FX rockin a lil over the 13000 mark, w/ 2gig ram...but I'm sure if any of us OC enough the score will be pretty high, of course I'm sure those who have hit the 15000, they're probably water cooled etc.

Its a good score.. my set up is a p4 2.6 533 fsb 512mb pc2100 at first I had a sucky geforce2 64 (hadn't updated in ages) I got a score of 184 in 3dmark..couldn't even run half of it lol Then I bought a nvidia 5500 256mb think I got a 1500 in 3dmark...wasn't happy took it back bought the 6800 none ultra/gt 128mb got a score of 8.9k HUGE difference..and that was with the none gt so i think your scores are good..

btw captain al, where did u set ur mhz and ram for ur gpu? did u just oc the gpu or the cpu and ram?....mine is stock 435 1.10, and had it up to 451 and 1.14...score for my aquamark went up about 500 points, but I couldn't run 3dmark03...it would just crash...i was tryin to get speeds to the ultra extreme, but had bad artifacts....
