urgent booting problem sager

I own a sager 8886 and yesterday i had it hooked up to the tv on svideo and after i was done i closed the screen but did not turn off the computer and i let the batteries completely drain.

The next day(today) i tried to start my computer plugged into the wall and everything starts running but the screen is entirely blank and all the lock buttons like caps lock and num lock are lit up..

It looks like the computer starts booting for 4 seconds(without the screen going on) then it just freezes and stays that way, with the screen still black.

I tried to take the batter out and put it back in but that didnt work, i tried to charge my battery up a little and try again but that didnt work, i pressed fn+ lcd to try to change screen modes but that doesnt help...

what else can I do?

THanks
Andrew

Remove Keyboard, Remove BIOS Battery...

Then remove power and wait 2 minutes... put all back in and POOF.

I did what you said and everything works great...
I tried everything else and all these people are telling me stupid things that dont work but you gave me the right solution(maybe people were scared i would screw up the computer if i unscrewed it) Anyways thanks,

LOL thank goodness you got your screen to work. When i read your post it looked JUST like my problem, I ended up having to send my lappy to Sager (who, btw, are very helpful people). Anyway, lappy got there today and hopefully I'll have her back early next week (darn weekends and no mail).

Glad to hear the problem is solved; just as a question about the whole thing, would the motherboard reset button have worked in this case? I heard that it has one and was used to fix somethin in another case. Thanks!
