Screen on Asus M6Ne

I was just wondering what the manufacturer and model of the 15.1" SXGA+ screen on the Asus M6Ne was.

Would anyone mind downloading a program called Lavalys Everest (http://www.lavalys.hu/downloads/everesthome110.zip) and clicking Display->Monitor? It should tell you all sorts of info about your monitor, and even stuff about your entire computer.

Update: you can just go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\DISPLAY in your registry and look for the monitor codes (they're the names of the subfolders). Mine says IBM2517, and one of the widescreens is SEC3150. So I guess look for something that fits that formula.

Thanks! If anyone does this it would be greatly appreciated.

You can't really bank on any one particular manufacturer as Asus will use panels from a variety of manufacturers based on availability/price.

Yeah, I think SEC is samsung.... I had the NVD too, but I was guessing that one was just a video card driver or something...

Well, I got a guy at Asus Notebook Tech Support to tell me the screens used. He says they may have changed, but this is what he could dig up. Right now I'm gonna try to find the specs for these models.

15" SXGA+
Hannstar HSD150PK14-A
AU B150PG01 Ver.0
IDT N150P3-L04

So, I found the specs. Here they are:

PHP Code:
model           IDT N150P3-L04  AU B150PG01     HannStar HSD150PK14-A
brightness      200             150             180
contrast        400             250             250
viewing angle   170
/170         10/30/40/40     20/40/40/40
weight          575g            575             600
response
(ms)   30              25              25
I think the IDT looks best.

I have a first generation M6800N and it has a HardwareID in the reg as ATE8506... can't seem to find any information about it.

A guy at Asus sent me the manufacturs models via email after I called, and then I found the actual tech specs from the manufacturers' web sites.

Note that these are the screen models they use for the newer M6Ne models... for the older M6N's, the screens could very well have been different.
