even though this isn't something that Alienware has control over, they will need to take the heat for whatever happens.

this really doesn't sound like a solution to me.

hey guys the same thing happend to me i order my area 51m on dec 18 2003 last year and did not recive it until feb 02 2004.I could not understand why it took so long but it did and so i said the next computer i buy will be a sager and I got it in three days!.So i said to myself whats going on here with this phases thing.I know it takes a while to build a kick ass system but 1 and 2 months somthings not right it should only take two weeks at best.Iam not trying to tell anyone what or who to buy but its your money and your time. btw my area 51m is a bad ass system and everyone loves it at work but my hart belongs to my sager 8790

(how ya doin vinnie) each phase is a part of the Alienware production process for a custom built system. so it isn't the phases that are the problem. These machines are in no way mass produced or pre-configured to reduce the build time of the system. The Alienware is still going to be worth the wait. I would send Alienware-JuanG a private message with all concerns. I will.
