Anyone ordered a Shinza or perhaps got one recently?

Mine came in about a month ago. Large 15" in gray. Works very well in my messenger bag.

Yes, I have the Large blue one. Wonderful sleeve. I use it every day taking my laptop to school and back. It works very well to protect my laptop in my backpack.

While I'm plugging product, I have to say that NuShield protectors are pretty freakin tight. Set mine up today an it is nice. I guess it creates that glossy look while protecting the screen.

Do they tell you when they shipped or perhaps check on the status?

The NuShield, is it easy to install? I tend to make lots of bubbles on these protectors.

NuShield makes protectors for laptop screens as well? I used them for my Ipaq and had no idea they made them for PC's as well. Do you know of a link where I could find some for a 15" screen?

I think I recall Aikeo saying recently that they were on backorder until something like Sept 10th (Shinza sleeves that is).

Shinza told me when it shipped and when it was due to arrive.... right on time. Also, there was an error with my credit card and they actually called and confirmed everything with me (I guess I was dyslexic the day that I ordered.) I was pretty satisfied with them and my experience.

The NuShield was easy to install. It said it would only take a minute, but it took me longer I got it installed once, but it didn't lie flat and had a small kink in the side, took it out, put it in again and all was well!
I guess there is a video on their site, but me being me I didn't watch it... I just read the supplied instructions.
You know what though? I didn't like their cleaning solution. I had some kensington stuff someone gave me and that seemed to work better. First I went over the screen with water and a towel though.

i spoke to shinza email support and they said they were developing cases for the widescreen (13.3"...) laptops and would be available sometime in october.

I have the large gray shinza sleeve for my cl56. It's a bit large but still works great. I put it in my L.L. Bean backpack most of the time. It took Shinza a while to ship after I ordered, but I eventually got it.

Haha...! I did that. I wrapped my old laptop in a shirt and carried it in my backpack for the last 3 years. It's still running so that must work, eh?

Email NuShield with dimensions and they probably have one that will work.
If not, someone else got a free one to *test* on his 3790 maybe you can get free one too to test on your ferrari.

Just order a 15 inch Sager protector. Works like a charm on my TM 8003. Helps improve the subjective appearance of the subpar screen by a little. Can't fix the fact that the lcd Acer uses sucks as far as pixel uniformity.

Thanks for the info,

Just to be sure, soes this fit your acer 15" sxga+ like a glove, or does it just fit it decently. If i am going to be staring at this thing all day i would rather it be a perfect 7.5/10 than a wierd 8.5/10

Thank

I've ordered two protectors from NuShield. The first one was for the Dell 15 inch LCD (No Sager listing at that time). The second one was for the Sager 15 inch notebook. Both were used on my TM 8003 (both are the same dimensions). I bent some of the edges on the first one trying to install it so I ordered the second one. The second install was much easir.

The protector fits flush against the screen, and when the lid is closed there are no marks from the slightly raised touchpad on the TM 8003.

There is some vertical motion if I decide to move the protector, but no movement if you don't mess with the protector.

My advice is to use medical exam gloves to install the screen, and have some compressed air handy to make sure there is not dust between the screen and the protector. Be careful not to bend the edges of the protector during the install.

speedotite, how is the uniformity of your screen? When my screen is totally white it is not very uniform in color. Do you have this problem?
