Went into Kitting/Build/Testing/Boxing, last week, today it shipped, after sitting in Boxing for about 4-5 days.

I ordered, and it went into Production on 8/23/04, with an estimated ship date of September 15. It shipped today, September 1, it doesn't really have tracking information as of yet, but says Sept 6-8 for delivery, which again, if it comes via the San Fran port, I should have it on or before that time frame.

That's the news I was looking for. It says mine is to be shipped on the 17th when I got it, but would love it for my trip to Florida next week. Crossing fingers.... I guess if it takes 3-5 days to "box", and 3-5 to get here, I'll just miss it.

Yea, same here, currently on a 6 week project in Wisconsin, and wanted mine to try for watching DVD's on the plane next week, etc... but I too may miss mine, and with the Holiday coming up, that kills 1 day basically.

same here, suppose to ship out on 17th, but got shipped out today...got lucky, when i first found out i called ant complained bc i need this for school...and got a free 8cell battery....awsome cant wait

Y'all should get your tracking numbers, because my 700m has been sitting in "Billing Information Received" state at UPS for the last 24 hours. In other words, they've filled out the paperwork, but UPS isn't moving the package yet.

Yeah, they shipped it, but they haven't shipped it.

Does yours say this?

"UPS has received shipper's billing information electronically. Billing information received does not indicate shipment pickup or drop-off. Please contact the shipper for more details."

Is this normal?

Do I really need to contact Dell to ask wtf?

That's exactly what mine says and it's said that since yesterday. It means Dell has filled out the paperwork, but the package is probably still sitting on Dell's loading dock. When UPS picks it up, they scan it and it shows up almost instantly on ups.com in the tracking info. They haven't done that yet.

Calling Dell will probably get you nowhere, but let us know if you do.

dell screwed up on my shipping too..it was suppose to be next business day delivery but they screwed up and didn't give UPS any billing information so they didn't deliver until they had the right info. I called dell and was reimbursed. Luckily for me, it was only delayed a day...

Just give them a day for them to recieve the proper info..most likely they're just laggin on the paperwork.

They're not lagging on the paperwork. UPS has the paperwork. They don't have the package.

Ok, so now I have actual tracking on the UPS tracking # of my laptop...

It's in Richmond, CA (about 60 miles away) and it will be delivered to my house tomorrow, according to UPS.

Mine still says, "Billing information received." Grrrr....

EDIT: WOW! It just updated and it's in Richmond, too. I'm in San Leandro, so it's even closer to me! I get it tomorrow!

Yay! Mine was shipped today too! I was getting worried, since I got an email earlier this week saying that it may not be shipped out until the 20th. I can't wait until I get it. I called them twice, and the service people were of no help. They didn't know when it would be shipped. I was going to call back tomorrow and try to get an upgraded shipping from the normal, to the expedited one, but it's already shipped.

mine was in richmond...on monday..and the status said in transit..I didn't get it until Tuesday afternoon at 6pm. I only live 20-25 mins from Richmond. I was getting so impatient that I came to a conclusion that a "ghetto" worker in Richmond must have ran off with it after seeing the dell labels on the box. HAHA richmond is pretty damn ghetto.
