I can't access the windows update page, damn I hate IE, help please.

More information please. Are you getting an error message? Can you get to other Microsoft links? Exactly how are you getting to the page?

Did you try http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com from the address bar?

firefox doesn't let you access the windowsupdate site, i believe. i always have to go there using IE.

Just a thought...Are you using broadband or dial up? I had problems getting through to Windows Update, Hotmail, and a host of other sites, and there was a setting in my router that was giving me problems. It is the MTU setting. I use a D-Link DI-514, and my default MTU setting was 1500...I rolled it back to 1380, and all was well. apparently, this was causing a timeout on certain servers. I found the solution in a microsoft help forum. If that's not it, well, maybe someone else will benefit from this post. Have a good day.

I once used a laptop where I have to clear my IE histroy and cache everytime before been able to enter windowsupdate. Maybe you could try this.
