I think the best bench for 3dmark03 on an AW with the MR9700 etc is something in the range of 3400...but with OCing...dunno (higher )

From that thread:

Quote:
For "currently" valid benchmarks: 3DMark03 & 3DMark2001 SE

No benchmark results from 3DMark03 can be compared to those obtained from any previous version of 3DMark, as each one uses a completely different rendering system and test procedure to obtain the final results.

Use Build 330 SE for 3DMark2001 SE...http://www.futuremark.com/download/?3dmark2001.shtml
Use Build 340 for 3DMark®03...http://www.futuremark.com/download/...3patch340.shtml

But I need an Alienware top benchmark result not how to do it.

Well, one guy reached 11,000 in 3Dmark03, but his score was removed by Futuremark. The average bench in 3DM03 for a 9700 equipped 51m is around 3400. With OCing, that can go up to 4000, or even 5000 if you really know what you're doing. Look on the Futuremark site for the score listings...you may have to join the ORB service

tanx but I don't have 3dmark original I can use a free version?
yeah, there's definitely a free version of 3dmark, go to the link that someone quoted. Most Alien benches I've seen are around 3400 stock as is the 8790. My 4750 gets about 3500 stock, and the 5690 gets about 3900 stock. This all due mostly to the varying factory clocks of each machine, the 5690 comes at 500/300 I believe which is much higher than most other 9700 machines and which is why it seems to bench better. If you compared these machines with similar specs at the exact same clocks (i.e. 470/250 or something) then they would all score within 100 marks of each other. Hope that answers some of the questions you might be having.

Yea, avg. no OCing is probably 3400 for AW. OCing... you can get to like 3800 without artifacts. Its entirely possible to get like 4400 with heavy artifacts with extensive cooling and turning it off right afterwards.

These numbers were given by Futuremark when they deleted that 11,000 score.

It depends on the chip... it's very possible to crank it and get 5000 without artifacts, but sometimes if you overclock even alittle your chip won't be able to take it.

I based my numbers on Futuremark's released scores.
