HELP! I love my laptop.. very little trouble.. however the last two weeks I have some wierd things happening..
whenever I leave the machine for a substantial period of time on but untouched - like 2 hours maybe? the computer has gone back to the log in screen. I have to log in again.. when the start screen comes up it shows
a windows error and asks if I want to report it..
Then I can follow the path from the microsoft link and this below is what it says happened.
I also cannot get into the view network connections area without the machine either putting up a error message or restarting itself. I deleted and reloaded my network adaptor card thinking that was the trouble and it was
really hard to get it all back working.. but it is.
just this error that comes up every time I log on now.
I read a post and think maybe I should reinstall windows XP windows and find the repair area.. what do you think??

This behavior occurs because your computer processor detected and reported an unrecoverable hardware error to Windows XP. To do this, the processor used the Machine Check Exception (MCE) feature of Pentium processors or the Machine Check Architecture (MCA) feature of some Pentium Pro processors. Memory errors that may include parity or Error Correction Code (ECC) problems
