Hey, phantom. It seems to me that you can help out a lot of people who has problems with Acer. I sent my laptop in twice for a repair. 1st time the problem was never fixed because they could not track it down. Second time i sent it back and they replaced the motherboard and speakers. That seemed to fix the problem that i originally had, but this time i got more problems than before. Wifi is not working, i see rainbow colors when i boot up windows, and the LCD cover is all scratched up. THe first time i sent it in I already noticed a few scratches here and there, but the second time it's intolerable. The scratches are very obvious and some are deep. THe LCD cover also makes a noise when i try to close it. For my part, i know Acer support will only say, send it back and we will fix it. On the paper that they send it says, the unit has been thoroughly tested and repaired. That statement is false because if it had been tested, my wifi would be able to connect to my router like before it arrived to the repair team. I already requested an exchange from my dealer but the expiration is over already because the laptop has been sitting in Acer repair for so long.
