Need help with Call of Duty!

I installed this game a while ago but recently when I began to play the single player I found something to be messed up. The crosshair is a block now, I have even reinstalled the game to attempt to fix it... but it didn't. What I don't understand though is the crosshair is fine in the multiplayer, just not the single player. Anyone here know what I can do to try and fix this? Thanks!

try downloading the lastest patch .. i think its 1.4

you can find it at www.gamespot.com
