i think a lot of us agree around here that voodoo/AW/falconNW systems are in some cases overpriced when they're the same chassis / internals just under a new paint job, branding, and/or slight exterior modifications. we naturally feel that as consumers it's our right and even our obligation to inform others of this point--> which sometimes might come across as "thrashing" of AW/voodoo based simply on their name. in reality they are legitimate companies just trying to sell their product the best they know how.
in response, i would say yes--> voodoo and AW are just smaller companies out there to make as much money as they can, much like dell was when it first started. that's their right, and no one is going to fault them for it from a business perspective; how else would they continue to grow or even survive. from a consumer perspective, however, we don't necessarily "rag on" these kinds of companies for what they are, but we also don't advise our friends/peers to pay 150% or even 200% of the initial cost for what, in some cases, amounts to basically a paint job.
hypersonic isn't like AW/voodoo, though. look at their system configs/pricings more closely and you'll realize it pretty quick. none of these three are like go-l, which used false advertising in the past to convince people to buy systems with the same performance, just at 150%-200% of the real cost.
i guess it's the same idea when you go out and buy a BMW vs. a honda; you know the honda's gonna do 0-60 in the same amount of time, handle just as well, and get the same fuel mileage, but you pretty much just want to pay more for the BMW-- because you can. no big deal, that's your right. personally i wouldn't get one, though, because i can't afford it and there is a perfectly usable alternative out there.
