As you can see from my sig, my 51m order hit phase 1 on the 15th. I did not mind waiting for it as I had a computer and a connection at my disposal. I could check my order and entertain myself. About a week ago I left for college. Not having a computer in my dorm room has been a pain in the arse. I planned on using my laptop for tv, music, all the normal computer stuff and running my xbox off of it. So without a computer, I have been bored. It has been quite a nuisance to walk into campus to do any sort of work on a computer. I ordered my laptop knowing that I would have to ship it to my school and wait (what I thought) would be a week to two weeks for it to arrive. I was relying on that scheduled ship date (9-6-04). The computer was supposed to ship on Memorial Day and I am only on phase 6. I know a lot of people use this part of the forum to complain. I would rather make a constructive post: My question is if I factor in the hurricane and my current status, when should I expect my computer to ship? Am I making normal progress? Will I go through the remaining phases quickly? I am going to call AW on Tuesday for my status as I have not called in a while. Anyway, thanks for the help and I will have to do something else while I wait. I might actually have to do my school work or even worse: go to class.

For me, it took from June 16th to July 6th to enter Phase 8. Then July 8th to enter Phase 9. Then I got it week after it hit phase 9. Just hang in there man, you're almost there.

Its gotta be a pretty rough time in Florida right now but let us know how you make out with that call to Alienware.

After I hit phase 6 it took like 5 more days to ship... Maybe you will be lucky as well.

The good news is:
According to what AW told me....their website order status site has been having major problems for over a month and the Phase that it says you're in is NOT accurate. Every time I call them they say that I'm actually a few Phases ahead of what is says on their site. For example, the website currently says I'm in Phase 6, however I was told on Friday that I am in Phase 9. So who the heck knows exactly what Phase we're all in?! You might actually be ahead of what the website says.

The bad news is:
On Friday they told me that the storm in Florida would "severly" effect their ability to get orders out on time and would impact ship dates for all pending orders.

Yay! I hit phase 7! A little bit more progress... Then my pessimistic side switches on and I think of the fact that I am only half way through it and there are 7 more stages to go! The glass is half full, half empty, half full....... Either way I am glad to see it moving along. 22 days and counting. Thanks guy! ~Kray~
