When i woke up, the screen was off (as it should be) but nothing could "wake" the screen up. the sleep button, the power button, moving the mouse. I had to override the power button and force a power off (hold it for 10 seconds to kill the system)
i have created a power scheme that is active during the night:
Settings for night power scheme
Plugged in Battery
Turn Off Moniter 2 Minutes 1 minute
Turn Off Hard Disk Never 20 minute
System Standby Never 30 Minute
System Hybernate Never 45 minute
the computer is on a altec cooling platform (fan off).
I leave the screen open at night, and would like to have windows power setting turn the screen off, and then when i wake up about 6 to 10 hours later, move the mouse or touch the keyboard, as if turning off a screensaver and the computer wakes up. having to force a turnoff isnt what i would have in mind each morning. I know some users leave theres on 24/7 and would like to know how they have there power setting set.
i am going to try leaving the cooling platforms fan on tonight and see if that helps.
any suggestions on how to accomplish this?
