help with stupid system error

Now, whenever I enter WinXP I get a "system recovered from a serious error" msg...only it keeps popping back up after I do/don't send an error report. The error signature states:

BCCode : 7f BCP1 : 00000000 BCP2 : 00000000 BCP3 : 00000000
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 1_0 Product : 768_1

The files that are included in the error report are:

C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini090404-01.dmp
C:\DOCUME~1\*******\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER1D.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml

Any ideas on what's going on? It's happened ever since I installed the .NET framework.

ooook...so uninstalling MS .net seems to have nuked this error.

Still curious as to what the hell that was

Update all of your drivers and then try reinstalling. It might be a process hanging up during shutdown or something similar. This happened on my gf's laptop right after she got it. Every single time I booted it, it came up with that kind of error message. Soon as I updated all her drivers, it went away and never came back.

I had problems with .NET framework as well. Kinda sucks cuz the program I wanted to use needed it. But since my system went bonkers after installing that "virus" I had to find a different program.
