I recently purchased a 7230 Blackberry and installed the software in order to syc with Outlook. The laptop recognizes the Blackberry when plugged into a USB port, but the blackberry software will not connect to the hardware. I tested the Blackberry on a desktop computer after installing the same software and it worked fine.
The Blackberry teck rep told me they sometimes have trouble with laptops but could not resolve the problem. Suggested it may be related to motherboard chipset drivers or bios upgrade. I have reinstalled the software with the latest service pak from blackberry and I installed the chipset drivers on the disc that came with the 8790...the blackberry still will not connect.
Any other suggestions or has anyone else experienced this problem??
