Dell Inspiron 5150 - 3.06 Ghz - Page 3

Also, if I were to get that dell, and upgrade to the m-10. How much would the m-10 cost about? Cuz it saves me $400 if I got the Dell system, but the video card might cost that much...
I think its around $200 for the m10pro but I could be wrong and it be that much for just the regular m10

A ati spokes person already confirmed the price being right around that

Awful lot of Dell promotion around here for a Sager site. Some young folks have been pushin' Dells ever since they started posting. Something about a wolf in sheep's clothing? I'll be unsubscribing to this thread before the storm of protest about freedom of speech on someone's (PC Torque and Sager) proprietary site dedicated to proprietary oriented (Sager) content.

well, let's not forget the the subject matter for this particular forum is, after all, "Other than Sager..."

doesn't hurt too much to be kept abreast of developments outside of the Sager world either...

It is simple competition, which in the end is a very good thing. There is no doubt about that. Sagers are still obviously more powerful, what with the desktop chip, however, other compromises (size, weight) must be made for this. It is competition in that another brand (in this case Dell) is offereing a similar product, albeit different, to the consumer. In the end, this competition is a good thing.

yeah theres no doubt that sager is the most powerful/best gaming laptop out there, but it's just not practical for me right now....

I wouldn't call this thing loaded, but rather basic config......

I think this is a great deal, mainly because it claims 4hours battery life and its a 3.06ghz! Too bad sager doesnt make one like this with an M10 Pro, desktop replacement and true mobility...what more could you want?!?

The 5150 does seem attractive for the price. It's able to claim almost 4 hours of battery life despite its 3.06 GHz CPU thanks to its massive 12-cell 96Whr battery.

Dell's choice of the M9 is also a contributory factor, since the 9000 is nowhere as power-hungry as the 4200 Go.

Be aware that the 5150 isn't expandable like the Sagers - no modular bay, just a single fixed drive bay.
