700m - good laptop sleeve?

Like many of you, I too just got my 700m. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good laptop sleeve for it. I don't really want to get a whole new backpack for it, just something I can slip it in, and put into my existing schoolbag. It's difficult to find one that fits being that it is a wide screen. Any suggestions? Thanks!

i'm looking for something like that as well for my 700M. I am also looking for a new laptop bag/messenger style. I have one but it is too big, i want one that is smaller and more proportional to this cool laptop.

Me three i just got my notebook and my current backpack doesn't provide enough protection. Im looking for a backpack/messenger bag were i can also carry my school book. But i don't want to spend an arm and a leg for it , plus i don't want the bulky types w/c i saw at compUSA.

should be perfect, 700m's got almost the exact specs of the interior dimensions.

Yeah, I had looked at those shinza ones, but was hesitant because I wasn't sure it would fit. Interior specs for the shinza is 11.0 x 1.6 x 9.0. Specs for the 700m are 11.7 x 1.5 x 8.5. So.... .7 inches too wide....who knows if it'll fit, be great if it did!

I have the large shinza one from a previous laptop Im gonna use it for my 700m

johnparjr - so you have the 15" large, or 15" medium? Does the 700m fit well in it? Thanks!

Uh Uh I dont remeber Ive had mine about a yr and when I bought it I dont think they had a LG MD It used to fit my 15' powerbook snugly It's big on the 700m but I cary that sleeve inside my Backback so it hugs it snugly

That ZeroShock looks nice. But I already got my sleeve from eBags (http://www.ebags.com/roadwired/advan...m?modelid=9133). It fits the 700m perfectly and the quality is very good. I bought it for $20, seems they just jacked up the price a bit.

i'll check the width compared to my roommate's 12 Mac. it if the same, then it should fit. i think the 700 will fit, just more snug

cheapa55 - you're referring to the shinza's right? Thanks for doing that!
yup, the dells are about .9in wider than the 12in powerbook or whatever those are called. that is pretty wide. if the shinza fits snug on the mac, i doubt the dells will fit. plus no way it will fit with the larger battery (which I have).

I have a Sony sleeve that's made for the small 12" laptops. I bought it back when I had my 12" powerbook, which fit kind of loose in it. I now use it for my 700m which fits very tight, but it does fit. It's made of neoprene, and stretches a little.

govtcheez, is it sony branded??? where did you get it? is there a model number or something where we can look up online?? thanks.

Here are a few pictures I just snapped.
The sleeve next to the 700m

The sleeve up close

The 700m on top of the sleeve (yes...the sleeve is slightly small, but it stretches)

The 700m inside the sleeve unzipped (no the zipper do not scratch the laptop. There is a roll type of protective layer that shields the zipper from the surface of the laptop.

The 700m completely inside (a very tight fit)

....I bought this at Microcenter back when I had the 12" powerbook. It's made for the 12" Sony Vaio, and is a Sony branded product. I think I paid something like $12.95 (it may have been on sale), and it also comes with a nice matching smaller neoprene sleeve that fits the AC Charger/adapter perfectly. I hope this helps.

*edit*...forgot to mention that the laptop is in there with the extended battery. It would fit a little better with the standard one.

hehe....my gf hasn't been here in a few days. It's not even the desk...it's my kitchen table. My desk has my desktop parts on it, cause my MoBo had to be RMA'd.
