I was wondering how challenging it is to assemble the components using a Asus M6 as a starting point. I just found this article that seems to make it simple, but I am wondering if this is as easy as they make it sound....I built a couple of desktops a few years back, but I have not worked on small components as found in a laptop.....

I am also curious about the necessity for using the Arctic silver if I am building a unit for myself.
The one thing that seems to give me pause is that the cost savings is really not that large, especially if you factor in the risk factor.....At least with the branded/ordered unit I have a warranty and return priviledges. Meanwhile, if I screw up I am dead meat!...
