I'm excited beyond belief . Sorry, this is sort of a double post.. but yeah. Here's something I didn't say in the other thread: I took pix from the early stages.. the BOX, the opening of it.. all the way to screenshots of installing SP2. I think I have some pretty neat shots.. but I'm not allowed to upload files @ notebookforums.com

Schmohey, are you using a 12-cell or a 6-cell? If you are using a 6-cell and you think that's bad... you ain't seen nothing. the 12 cell takes forever to charge, even with the laptop off.

DAMN UPS!!! My 3790 was scheduled in Jax for delivery today. It arrived at the hub too late to get on a truck. I asked them to hold it but when I went to pick it up they said that it arrived in the truck and it would not be unloaded until the weekend. Now I have to wait until Monday. I hate UPS. DHL all the way.

Ewww DHL... Well... I won't be getting mine till Tuesday... So consider yourself lucky.

I wonder if it would be possible to design an external battery charger that plugs into a wall outlet and only charges the battery, that way you could charge 2 at a time, or charge a single battery faster. (Assuming that the 3790 can be powered up without a battery loaded)

guys,!dont be too hard with UPS, I was a pilot for them. work from 11pm to 8 am. flew from state to states to deliver packets when, you ,guys were in a warm bed dreaming at your laptop .We do the best to do our job, but it is really hard to deal with bad weather,icing, ...and hurricanes now in florida.
So take it easy !

Dunno about you guys, but I'm gettin' mine Monday. I love UPS. Just because they were able to ship my laptop from CA to NV in 1 day. Now it's routing back to me in CA.

hm... mine was scheduled for delivery on tuesday, but now the tracking page is showing something odd. previously, it had 3 scans including a departure scan stating that it had left whatever city in CA it starts at. it said it was in transit and on time for a scheduled delivery on september 21. now, it doesn't show any scans at all and simply says UPS has received the shipper's billing information. it still says it was "billed or shipped on" september 15 (which is what it said previously), so hopefully it's a glitch in UPS's system and there hasn't been some shipping mixup.

i think this is gonna be the last time I do any kind of shipping with UPS. I finally got my laptop on friday...around 8pm. The website said UPS ground shipping takes 5 days...not 5 business days, so when I see it'll take from sept. 10th until sept. 17th to get to me I was a lil peev'd but said its ok....my last day of work is friday the 17th so it'll be a present for me to play with all weekend. I get in from work around 5 on friday and there isnt a package waiting. I look online and it says "cannot find address for delivery" which is sad because ups has delivered dozens of packages to this address in the past. I went to the ups station in town and complained. Turns out they wanted to reschedule my delivery until the 20th so the woman thought I was crazy for thinking it was due in on the 17th. I had them call the truck and bring it back to the warehouse so I could pick it up that night(which was around 8pm). Looked at the package and the shipping address was exactly as it should have been, so they had a retarded driver trying to find my house(which mom said she saw a ups truck drive by twice during the day). I finally have my 3790 though, which this post is coming from. Its a beautiful machine to say the least. So even with my ups woes I'm pleased with the machine's performance so far and the PERFECT SCREEN that i got!
