I just ordered my new laptop ( 3.2, 9700, 1 gig, 60 HD) and its been almost a week and I'm on phase three...is this good? ON their website it says that they will ship in 7 days, but after reading these forums I'm starting to believe they should take that off....

Phase 1: 9/3
Phase 2: 9/5
Phase 3: 9/7

welcome to the forums! i think some pre-configured systems might ship in seven days but if you customized anything you are almost definitely going to wait longer than that. good luck keeping your sanity with the rest of us

well, we can just hope that Ivan (cat 5) settles down. The last one was bad but this one sounds very scarey. last I heard was it will make Florida by Monday.

The most recent long wait times were due to the availability of parts. Those parts have since become available to Alienware. I would recommend calling Alienware to get more information on your expected ship date.

They told me yesterday mine would ship in two weeks. That would put me at exactly three months since I paid. Of course, several of my parts are backordered, so that's not AW's fault (although they do have my $$).
