Hi..I just my new 223 notebook a couple of days ago and have been testing its battery performance.

My specs,

1.7Ghz dothan
40 GB 4200rpm Hitachi
512MB Kingston pc2700
DVD/CDR-W combo drive
Intel ipw2100 wifi card

Battery Pack:223-3S4000-F1P1
Rating:10:8Vdc 4000mAh
Cell made by panasonic/Cheng Uei

On my OEM's (arismobile.com) website and uniwill website. It claims to have 4-5 hours battery life subject to use. I did a test on the 223 and only got 1h 35mins battery life. I fully charged the battery for good 6 hours and booted straight into the bios configuration and left it there till the battery died. Brightness was at its lowest using Fn-F8.

At first I thought I got a faulty battery and went back to get it replaced. I got the replacement and did an another test and result was the same. Now I suspect that I have a faulty power board on the mobo.

Is this because the bios does not utilise the centrino-speedstep that I am only getting 1h 35mins? I'll repeat the test again using windows xp pro with all power management turned off.

ps:- when i am charging the led on the right goes orange and fully charged it becomes green.

regards,
Lenk
