Windows 95 Problem Loading up

My brother recently bought a computer from a school and it has a couple issues. First, for some reason it will not allow me to do some things. Also, it won't boot up properly, I have only been successful using safe mode which won't allow me to do much. any help??

did it come with the win 95 disk?
is so, format hard drive. if you want to of course
dont know much bout win 95 thats so 10 years ago!

The problem is that your trying to run Windows 95. You need to format the hard drive and install at least 98SE. Oh, and you'll more than likely need to use FDISK (on a Win98 startup floppy) to re-partition the hard drive, since 95 used FAT16. Delete all the partitions on it and make a new partition. Then format that as FAT32, install 98SE, find the drivers for your hardware, and you are good to go.
