Does anyone know the make and model of the modem in the eMachine m5309

It should be listed in the Device Manager page of system properties.

I am trying to help someone who has reformatted their harddrive and installed XP and they do not have the recovery disks eMachine web page is useless.

Did you look here? eMachines Parts Depot (Modem: MODEM, FAX -INT MDC 1456VQL25(INT) ASKEY ). Then Google MDC Modem. Or, if the m5309 is made by Arima, you can get drivers here: Arima

OK tried all of that. I have left a request for driver at askey.com. MDC just means Mother Daughter Card and returns 11,000 hits.
I also Googled 1456VQL25 but this return nothing. I did see a reference to 1456VQL4A-4 made by agrere.com but they don"t lid 1456VQL25. Any other suggestions ?

Well it's the same modem as in the M5310 so use that driver.

It is a conexant modem, the drivers are readily available on emachines and arima's site, Pm me if you can't find them and I will email it to you
