Budget desktop - A decent configuration?

About 2 years ago, my old 350mhz IBM Aptiva started to quit on me. Being as it was no longer reliable, I dropped out of the computer scene and just used my mom's laptop when I needed something. Well, I'm starting my second year in college now, and being that I have to manage my own life, I bought a laptop for school and home use this spring, my Inspiron 9100.

Well, the time has come for me to build a desktop. I don't want a powerhouse, but I want something that can hold its own for games and daily tasks. Mostly though, building a desktop will be a good learning experience, so I've been researching and I think I finally found the config I want...

ANTEC Solution Series Super Mid Tower Case with 350W Power Supply, Model "SLK3700AMB" - $65.00
Samsung 52X32X52X16 DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive, Model SM-352NRNS - $39.00
Western Digital Special Edition 80GB 7200RPM IDE Hard Drive, Model WD800JB - $61.99 x2 = $123.98
Corsair Value Select 184 Pin 256MB DDR PC-3200 - $42.00 x2 - $84.00
MSI "K8T NEO-FSR" K8T800 Chipset Motherboard for AMD Socket 754 CPU - $83.00
AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 512KB L2 Cache 64-bit Processor - $175.00
SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON 9800 PRO Video Card, 128MB DDR, 256-bit, DVI/TV-Out, 8X AGP - $197.00

Total - $766.98

Basically trying to get thoughts from the desktop guys. I'm new at building desktops, so if there is anything I am missing (cables or anything else) please tell me. Also, does this sound like a decent config to you folks? I'm on a budget (this is a learning experience, not a "build the uber frag machine" project) so this is pretty close to the upper limit of what I am willing to spend.

Above all though, even above the learning factor, I want something with decent storage. The alternative to this entire situation is for me to wait for good prices on the Dell 8400 again and then just grap that and throw another HDD in it. I'd prefer to do my own build, but at the same time, I'm going to go with whatever is going to be the best deal. I'm going to think it over this weekend and then possibly buy the processor, mobo, CD drive, case and HDDs next week. I'll worry about the video card in a week or two.

So, decent setup or no? Also, am I missing anything? Suggestions and comments welcome.

Looks great to me, just dont forget to get a heatsink and fan if your processor doesn't come with one.

That price is for the retail package of that processor, which does come with a fan and heatsink.

Anyone else? I'm mostly concerned that I'd be missing something, so any comments there would be appreciated.

mouse and keyboard. And maybe a monitor (you might have an old one I guess). Oh yeah, speakers could be nice (or just headphones).

thats a great spec and a great price, you can run everything at least decently on that

Yeah, I already have keyboard/mouse/monitor covered. The 19" CRT that came with our Aptiva has another few months left in it. I also already have a rediculous stereo at my place, so speakers are a non-issue.

Anyone else?

i'd have to say it looks complete,,,i personally always have a floppy drive, but thats because i format a lot and end up needing it for base drivers...

And one more thing, maybe your comp will come with screws, but I had to buy mine separately, not expensive, just put a delay in the proccess.
