Please help DVR-SK12RA

I own an Acer Aspire 1710 wich came with a CD-RW / DVD-ROM combo. I'm planning to install a DVD-RW but couldn't find a model that seems to fit in my unit. I've seen the Pioneer DVR-K12RA in this site but it has a rectangular shaped cover, and my 1710 has rounded corners...

Can you help? I want to know if this SK12 RA will fit my notebook.

Thanks in advance.

by cover do you mean just the bezel of the drive i.e. not the drive door itself? if so, and if you dont mind whipping out a dremel, you can easily tailor the drive to fit in your lappy. good luck!

Ok, but can you tell how it can be done?
Does it come with a second cover that will fit in my round format or I'll need to send it to service?

Thanks again!
