Ordering in 2 weeks and still no decision! HELP!

I decided to do another round of extensive research and filtered my brands of choice to 4.. Acer, ASUS, FSC, and Hp/Compaq

Deep down i really want an Athlon 64 computer with 3 hr battery life and widescreen so i will list these first..

Compaq R3240
Hp z5255
(sucky GPU but i dont play games regularly on my PC)

ASUS A2000K
ASUS L5000D
(Both not widescreen)

Fujitsu Siemens Amilo A1630 (sucky battery life)

The other P-M lappies i considered are:

ASUS M6000N/e (with a 15.4" screen)
FSC M1420
Hp/Compaq nx 7010 (PL578UA)
Hp zt3350us
Acer Aspire 2012Wlmi (Dothan version if available)

I also considered the 4501wlmi but it aint available here in the UAE..

If you were me, on a budget of 1600$, which would you get??

Consider battery life, lifespan of 4 years, durability, looks, weight and price..

EddieZ... you've been asking pretty much the same question on several different threads for a while now. No matter what others tell you, you're pretty much going to have to make up your own mind. It seems to me that you've made up your mind to get an Athlon 64 in a laptop: if so, that limits your choices, but hey, they're good choices. If you don't game or don't care about gaming, why are you so concerned with the older video card in the Compaq or HP? My only suggestion is to find out if you can you buy one from a vendor that allows you to return it if you don't like it.

hehe... i guess you're right.. but here are my 4 main choices..

i filtered out the ASUS for the HUGE price tag (2000+)



what do you think??
