Where to buy upgradeable notebook Video Cards

Lately there has been alot of talk cetering around how the video cards Dell Laptops are able to be updated. If this is true, that's great.

Still, where would you purchase a Notebook Video Card? I know that regualr desktop cards don't fit in there, so what stores, if any (online or retail??) sell the new cards?

Thanks for any information.

prolly from the reseller, like dell/pc torque/whatever. i think it will be awhile before your local compusa stocks them. i dont think they will have a great enough demand when the option is first introduced (if it actually is) to stock them right away. but down the road, i would imagine you could get them there too.

Are they actually available through Dell?

What I'm thinking is that you could B.S. some story that your LCD won't show anything, yet the computer is on and running, so it must be the Video Card that is broken. Then if you are out of warranty maybe you could talk them into selling you a new one. Who knows...

haha if they are upgradeable, you should just be able to buy one. the whole con should be necessary to make a purchase.
