Hi guys, I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me with the specs of this notebook. I will be using it for graphic design (Photoshop, Fireworks) amongst other things.

The one I'm looking at now is a Compaq R3000T.

Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 3.00 GHz w/HT Technology
Display: 15.4" WUXGA (1920X1200)
Graphics Card: 128MB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) 9600
Memory: 512MB DDR SDRAM (1x512MB)
Hard Drive: 60 GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive
Primary CD/DVD Drive: DVD/CD-RW Combo Drive
Battery: 12 Cell Lithium Ion
Removable Storage: Built in Bay w/USB Digital Drive and 128 MB

The price is $1648

Thanks in advance for your help.

For DTP and graphic design, you're better off with an Apple Powerbook.

If that isn't an option, the specs seem OK to me but I can't comment if the price is reasonable (you may need more RAM). You may also want to jump to a 17" laptop.

For what you'll be using it for, it should do nicely. I'd upgrade the RAM to 1GB if you're going to be working with large TIFF files in PS.

All i can say is you are getting ripped off. See my sig, better specs, less $. But if you do need to go with a major brand, that's not so bad.

edit...
unless you really need the WUXGA

That should be fine. But if you have the option to get just 256mb of ram, do it, then just get 2 x 512mb because 1 gig o' ram (for what you are doing) is really better than 512mb.

If you are not a hardcore gamer, just get the 64mb video ram if you have the option. Just make sure that it is not "shared". It must be "dedicated".
