You probably cannot comment on this but.....There have been some rumors floating around about an M6 with a 9800 in beta. Is there any truth to this or can you comment on any sort of a M6 refresh?

When (if ever) can we buy the M6N with wsxga+ in the U.S.?

RGHILL,

Since you said that there are some rumors floating around about the M6 series with a 9800 in beta, can you provide me in more detail of what the problems or rumors in here now. It is because that we do not receive any complaint about M6 series and the M6 series notebook is using ATI 9700 64MB for the VGA card. Thank you.

Hi Flashram,

There is only one mode in which is using wsxga+ and it is the W1N model with 15.4" wide screen. Unfortunately, we do not have any information to show that M6N will have the wsxga+ display for the US market yet, but if you do want to have a notebook with wsxga+ for the LCD resolution, then I will be highly recommend to take a look on our W1N notebook. http://usa.asus.com/products/notebook/nbindex.htm . Thank you

Welcome TK,

Nice to see Asus making a presence. I recently bought an M6 and am very happy with it. You might like to read my review, link in my signature. Let me know if I've made any errors in my facts.

What's the deal with the Asus badges? Many of us are proud to carry Asus machines, but it is mighty difficult to label them as such. I was able to obtain the "Built on ASUS" badge through the graciousness of another forum member, but even those seem hard to come by. How about some nice badges with just "ASUS" in that nice font of yours?

Me too.... I have 6 Asus notebooks and not one carries an Asus badge........

Cool, I didn't even know you guys made notebooks...

Hi Peter,

Thank you for your message in here. I already read over your review on our M6BNe notebook and it was a great review. Of course I am glad to hear that you are very satisfied on our notebook. Regarding to your message in here, actually we do provide the "BUILT ON ASUS" bage to the retailer store or online resellers. The reason why we do not provide just with "ASUS" badge is that because this notebook is able for customer to customize the notebook, so we do not want to mess up with our another catagory, ASUS "ENSEMBLE" notebooks. For the ASUS "ENSEMBLE" notebooks, then we will have the "ASUS" logo badge on these models. Therefore, we will like to put "BUILT ON ASUS" for all the customizable notebooks and we will have the "ENSEMBLE" notebooks with "ASUS" logo for the fully configuration notebooks. I will report your recommendation to my manager and I do hope this information will help you out on that. Thank you

ASUS Cust Rep, I have a question. Do you know if ASUS will be releasing a notebook containing AMD's Low-Voltage (35W i believe) Mobile Athlon64?

Dear Scoob,

Thank you for your email. Regarding to your email, we are planning to have the AMD Athlon64 notebooks, but I do think it may be in the US market at end of this year or being at the first quarter by next year. However, we will consider more if there are many customers who are interesting to our AMD Althon64 notebooks. Thank you

Wow. If this whole thread isn't the epitome of the WWW, I don't know what is.

GO ASUS!

My local Asus reseller (Alice Computerworks) claims that Asus never sent them any "Built on Asus" badges. They say this is only done in Europe.

They also gave me my M6N notebook with a Radeon 9600 even though I ordered it with a 9700... they claim this is because I ordered the notebook with a regular instead of a widescreen LCD. They say that widescreen LCDs come with a 9700 and regular screens come with a 9600. I don't believe this is true. Can you please comment on their actions?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Im in the market for a small (12",13.3") notebook, and was looking at one of yours. I called up the shop and they said that it has been discontinued, and that you had some more in that class coming out sometime soon. Is that accurate?

I would be extremly interested to know if you have any forthcoming noteboooks with simular specs to this..

13.3" wide,
dothan centino
none intel integrated grafix (this is the only reason why i have not bought an asus.)ATI 9700, or equiv.
DVD writer

At present, that gap only seems to be filled with the sony vaio S170. No one else puts anything other than integrated graphics in their sub notes

Anway, let me know
