Hello ASUS Cust Rep.

When will the ASUS Spacelink WL-500gx Wireless Router be schipped to europe, especially Germany?

Asus Customer Rep. I think everyone here can safely say that they would buy an Asus W1N if it had a better GPU...preferably PCI express graphics .

Ofcourse I'd lay down 8 grand USD if you also had a 2.8 pound ultraportable with a Mobile Radeon x800 ^^;. But that's just me.

Abucla,
Thank you for your message, actually the M5N does support the memory only up to 768MB, so I do not recommend that you put the 1GB on the M5N. The maximum memory capacity will be 768MB on the M5N. Thank you.

Scoob,

Thank you for your message. The reason why we do not decide to have the W1N with the TV-Tuner version into the US market, because we have to consider the network compability problem and we do not want to have any over-promising to the public. Of course, we do concern about the quality and the service for you guys when using the ASUS notebooks. Thank you.

rfajar,

Thank you for your message. If you have any further question about the technical issue. Then I will recommend that you should go to check it out with the reseller who sold you this notebook. Then the reseller should provide you the service first if your notebook has any problem. So, if you have any further questions, then you can send me an email for that. Thank you.

JFvergara,

By the time when I look at the Japan's ASUS website, I do see they do have any W1N notebook on the website there. So, I will recommend that if you want to buy the W1N with the TV-Tuner function, then you may have to purchase it directly from Taiwan. Thank you

Of course, I will like to see the notebooks have the best and the best performance notebooks in the market, however, we have to concern about the notebook market in the US and Canada. Thank you.

Hi. Last night my M6BNe went into standby, and shutoff seemingly unprovoked. Since then it will not turn on (cpu fan turns on for a second, blue power light stays on). Any idea?

Pull the battery and let it sit for 1 min, then plug in the a/c power cord and see if it will fire up.

I recently had that too with one of my customers.

I believe that the problem came from the loose batery issue- which Asus will mail you a fix for. But, it can put the hardware into a wacky state, you have to pull the battery to let things discharge. Plug the batery back in, should come back up fine.

I know that the WL-500g is available in Germany, but I was asking about the upcoming WL-500gx with Speedbooster and 2x USB 2.0 connection. Do you know anything about that one?
Look here.
I'm very eager to get one of those.

Where in the US can you find the W1N with a Dothan processor and WSXGA screen? And what is the usual cost of the machine?

Sbc,

Thank you for your message. Regarding to your message, I can give you a website and you can able to check it out with them, because they do customize the W1N. However, ASUS is not recommend to do that and we will not cover the GLOBAL warranty for any add-on new components or anything to cause the damages or problems by these add-on new components. So, please check it out with this reseller first before you decide to what you are going to do. Here is the link, www.stipc.com . Thank you

What fixed my problem was what I assumed was the reset switch on the bottom of the laptop.
