Dear Sauro,

Thank you for your message again. I will recommend that you should contact your reseller who sold the unit to you first or please check it out with us first if you log on to our website, http://usa.asus.com, and then click into the "Contact ASUS" section. Then you will be able to get the contact information with our technical support department. So, I will recommend that you should check it out with the reseller or us first before you go to press the reset switch on the bottom of your laptop. Thank you.

shadowground,

Thank you for your message. Hahaha, I am the fans of Arsenal too. Anyway, the range will be like that--indoor (130ft) and outdoor (300ft) at 11Mbps; and the indoor (80ft) and outdoor (200ft) at 54Mbps. However, please notice that the range may vary by different enviroment. This product is using the standard power requirements, nothing much big requirements on the power. Thank you.

Ok, I got an ASUS question: Is there ever going to be a notebook released from ASUS that is a 12" *WIDESCREEN*, or slightly larger (up to 13.3" like the Sony S series)? Hopefully with a decent screen that would give roadwarriors that like to watch a little DVD on long flights and also do some work?

I'd love to see what ASUS could do with the in a form factor to compete with the Fujitsu P7000/5000 or the Sony TR/T... Or something slightly bigger, and inbetween the 13.3" would be perfect. Oh where are the 12.8" high res screens when you need them? (Ok, that's weird, I'll settle for either

Dear Kel,

Thank you for your message. Regarding to your message, I will be appreciated for your recommendation and I will forward that to my manager about that. However, we do not receive any updated information from Taiwan for having any 12" widescreen or like a 13.3" notebook. However, if we have any new ultra slim notebook in the US market, then we will make the announcment in here then. Thank you.

New wide screen ASUS laptop

TK
I see on European sites that Asus has a new Widescreen laptop, the A4. I see two different video specs though. One with ATI and one with integrated video. Will this unit be coming to the US? Which one?

I think you'll find that most people aren't too impressed with shared graphics. It may be acceptable in a tiny lappy, but for a 15 inch screen I'd like a dedicated video card like my M6ne.

sfdoddsy,

Thank you for your message. Regarding to your message, I do understand what you mean and I do appreciate for your suggestion. However, this is more for people who love video chatting or video conferencing during the business meeting. It is because that the Z91N is having the built-in-camera function on that. Thank you

Thank you for your message. Regarding to your message, actually the W1N is too popular and hottest in the market now, so we are do the arrangment from Taiwan and ship more inventory back to here. So, there will be fine in the market in soon for the W1N notebook. Thank you.
I will second what the Asus rep says... the W1 is hot. I love mine, I dumped my M6 for it. And the M6s are rally nice machines!

I suspect they will be avial customizeable at some point, to sate the savages...

Give me a barebones W1N with built in bluetooth, WSXGA screen(NOT glossy), and a ATI 128MB 9700 with good memory on the GPU, 4 USB 2.0 ports, firewire, and a built in TV Tuner! You sell, I will buy.
Now that sounds like a custom go-l model. Complete with super fast hyper synthetic mode shutdown speeds, and new custom angle modulating screen mechanism, allowing you to rotationally sandwich the screen with the base unit for easier transportation.

/I can do that all day. Be happy I have more ethics than the Go-L folk, hahaha.

Eric

PS- Kronus- My bluetooth solution is working out great- 40$ on the add in.
On the TV tuners- they dont really do anything for you out here, since most of the cable providers went to an authentication based tuning system, just like all the dish folk. Even if mine had a tv tuner, I couldnt do a damn thing with it.

Also... mine has firewire! And 3 (not 4) USB ports! What are you bitching about man! Besides the GPU... I dunno. I still like mine. It keeps up. halflife 2 will require a desktop no matter what, oh well.

Ok besides that I couldn't really care what the hell you have to say, I wasn't taking a "jab" at ASUS, I was just wondering what the ASUS rep would say.

And umm for anyone still posting questions here, STOP DOING IT!
The ASUS REP said specifically to PM him any questions you guys might have.
That's it for now,

Also, a little note to you ASUS REP, ever been part of a forum? why i ask?
Because you double and even triple post like crazy, can't just say everything you want in one post? try to save some space man.
Anyways, party on!

EDIT: yeah I just double posted, I know.
