One of the main fears in buying an ASUS notebook, is the dead pixel problem.
Why ASUS cannot guarantee that their screens are free of the dead pixel problem? as Dell does, Toshiba, etc. Why understand the 5 dead pixel policy? Many retailers charge some extra money to ensure that you will give a notebook without a defective screen.
You can find that many of old and new users, talk about that their screen have almost 1 dead pixel.
I think, that a LCD with time is more prone to faults, but brand new, 0 miles, out-of-the-box?
For me, spend a $2000 dollar in a good product like Asus is not a problem, bacause if you spend the money on a product that you like, you are happy. But spend $2000 with a case without brand is not so graceful.
The other question, why Asus not include in the pack the asus badge, that give to the user the opportunity to put or not...so easy.
