Just got my i8600c!!H

Hi all, just wanted to say i finally got my 8600 and so far so good! It's very different from a desktop though lol. The font is so small not huge at all like on my desktop. I tried making the font bigger but even on the largest setting it's small. lol. But i guess largest is bigger and better than being on small. I tried changing the screens resolution but everything gets fuzy and i keep getting a pop up message saying that it can only stay on the 1280 by 800 pixel setting. Everything else is great it's just the little font size and little everything else that'll take getting used to. By the way i have the WXGA screen so if i missed something somewhere on how to make everything bigger opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Right click Desktop and choose Properties/Appearance/Advanced. Change your settings. Right click Desktop and choose Properties/Appearance/Font Size. Change to large or Xtra Large.

Thank you Tummypony, i had tried that and for some reason it still seems little to me lol. Maybe i am blind or something either that or i am just used to my huge fonts on my desktop. If i am not on IE everything is fine but when i open a windows things just seem so much smaller. Oh well i guess i'll just have to get used to things. Oh, i called tech support to ask for help and the guy said it can't be changed (go figure) then he said that he once told a guy to uninstall his video drivers and then reinstall them and it made things bigger. However i am not quite sure i'd like to do that lol.

Ok, well, i changed the DPI settings to 120 like i've read and it helped alot. Things are so much easier to read now but there is this one place that i go to that the text is still so very little. Does that Java thing have anything to do with it? That's another thing, on my desktop i don't have that Java thing that i have on here or atleast i don't think i have it on the desktop. lol. I looked in my control panel on my desktop and i don't see that java application there. What exactly is that for and can i disable it or something? Everywhere else i go to is fine except that java based site which makes the text so very tiny. Help please? lol Thanks guys!

WXGA and you say the font is small! I love my WSXGA, and I think it is slightly to big! It is fantastic, and you can get some much on the screen.

If you are happy with it though, that is all that matters. Have fun with your new toy!

Does anyone know what the Java Plug in is? What's it for? Can it be uninstalled? Will i need it? Would it be possible to disable it if i can't uninstall it? lol sorry for the questions guys! Like i said i don't have that on my desktop and it too has windows xp.

Yeah, you need the Java plugin. It is used by many websites to display things. No need to remove/disable it.
