Hey guys I just got my first notebook, The acer ferrari and i'm loveing it. Besides ONE SINGLE DEAD PIXEL which isn't so bad but i'm in the process of inquireing about a exchange, everything but the internet wrks great. Internet is nice both wireless and wired, but the problem is after extended use it shuts off again both wireless and wired. Then doing a turn off waiting a few then turn on the internet is good. Is there something i can do to remedy the situation? Its quite obvious it has to do with long term internet but i'm curious on why it shuts down and gets impossible to on again?

Well just some moer background on my problem. I'm using ac adaptor when the internet offs, and i have no drivers installed. No sp2 as well. sp2 has caused some problems, for instance when i install it and it reboots it tells me there missing a file and i had to restore to factory settings so i'm not all for using sp2.

I never had this issue, and I just left mine running for a 14H download, so that can't be the issue.

As you already have a dead pixel I would exchange the unit.

If not, then reinstall it using the restore cd's.

yea i'm gonna try that tomorrow. I didn't have the opportunity to call them cause of work but I can make it tomorrow. Thanks for answering.
