EDIT: This was going to be one of my what should i do threads but no more..

I have a couple of questions to ask before i order the Fujitsu Siemens Amilo A1630.

1. How heavy would an extra battery be????

2. In case i don't find the a1630 (i hope not) would u recommend which of the following?

Compaq R3240/Hp zv5255
FSC M1420
Hp/Compaq nx 7010 (PL578UA)
Acer Aspire 2012Wlmi
TravelMate 8003LMi

3. will a dothan be completely obsolete in 3 years??

Wait a minute... are you saying you HOPE to find the Fujitsu or you DON'T HOPE to find the Fujitsu?

Why the Fujitsu... I thought you were stuck on an Athlon processor?

You can probably expect any extra battery to either weigh the same, or 50 g to 250 g more than the regular battery if you buy a high capacity one.

What? Your alternatives list has suddenly gotten a lot longer.

... just buy something.... give your credit card a workout...

I HOPE i find the fujitsu.

The amilo a1630 is the same as the battalion 101 s-turbo.. its an athlon 64..

my alternaive list didnt get longer. its just that i dont know what to get in case i dont find the amilo a..
