Ordered mine 9/12/04-Estimated shipping date around 10/04/04. Also, just to let you guys know, I emailed customer support today about getting my $96.00 refunded for the install fee because it was clearly stated on the web when I bought my XPS that the install would be free. Heres the email if anyone's interested. I strongly urge all XPS owners who are buying this card to do the same and say something about it.
I just recently purchased a Radeon Mobility 9800 for my Inspiron XPS.
When I purchased the XPS I was told as well as read on the Dell's
website that I would later be able to upgrade the video card and that
would include a free installation. Well when I ordered the new video
card (9800) I found that I was charged $96.02 for installation of the
video card. I would like to know how I can get this refunded and I would
also like to know if I would simply be able to install the video card on
my own. Also, if I install the video card will this void my warranty?
